Margaret Dahm, M.P.S., by dint of study and hard work in her spare time recently obtained her B.Sc. from Massey University. Margaret lives with her husband and baby in Paimerston North. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Lyndon, 20 Walsh Street, while husband Keith is the son of Mrs A. Dahm, Oswald Street, and the late Mr Dahm.

Miss Elizabeth Shaw has arrived in Gisborne to take up the position of director-curator of the Gisborne Art Gallery and Museum. Miss Shaw is the first full time director-curator the museum has had. She has an M.A. in anthropology. From left: Miss Shaw, Mrs Monica Ratcliffe (secretary), and Mrs A. S. Patterson who has been in charge of the museum since her husband died two years ago.

Peter James Quinn graduated Bachelor of Law at Victoria University in Wellington. Peter, who is now with a law firm in the capital city, is the son of Mr and Mrs J. Quinn, 24 Townley Street.

A four day hike by four boys from the Wai-te-ata Scout group was carried out during the last school holidays. They went from Gisborne to Mahia and return, also camping at Morere on the way. In front is Paul Escott and at back are Sidney Koia, Peter Seymour and Peter Scholes.

This team from the St. John Ambulance Brigade did very well at the H.B.-E.C. district eliminations for nursing cadets at Napier. They won the over-all eliminations, thus giving them the chance to go to Wellington for the dominion championships. From left: Heather Stevens (lead), Carol Robertson (No. 4), Mrs Jean Cording (superintendent and chaperone), Heather Robertson (reserve), Anne Stevenson (No. 2), and Lynn Cannell (No. 3). As a team they won the Wilson Cup for home nursing, while Lynn won the Tait Cup for the best individual points. Carol was runner-up to Lynn.
