Birthday Greetings
The Old Folks again had a very enjoyable afternoon when they held a social for those people whose birthdays fell in June and July. Songs and dances were provided for entertainment, which was followed by a delicious afternoon tea.
Those who celebrated their birthdays were, from left, Mr E. Murphy, Mrs E. P. Nicholson, Mr H. McErlain, Mrs I. Lawrence, Mrs W. Evans, Mrs E. O'Rourke, Mrs A. Lane, Mr A. Hunn. Sitting in front are Mesdames E. Powell, J. Miiligan (cutting the cake at 90), E. Openshaw and K. Smith.
Louise English and Suzanne Wilson gave a delightful tap-dance.
The Standard III singers of St. Mary's School entertained with some tuneful songs.
