Striking Colour

A beautiful array of colour lined the benches at the Poverty Bay Horticultural Society's chrysanthemum show. The very many perfect blooms had the Judges working hard to determine the prize-winners.

The champion bloom, in this vase of three, was won by Mr E. R, Hansen's Eileen Bliss, a mauve with yellow centre.

Mr C. H. Robinson's premier bloom in fantasy class, a beautiful strong yellow.

This large exhibition, a pale plum with pale gold reverse, won a premier bloom award for Mrs B. H. Constable.

Mrs G. Kerr, Wellington, gave a demonstration of flower arranging.

×
     

Large crowds came to the show throughout the afternoon.
