The Sparkling Water

The Gisborne Swimming Club's annual handicap river swim was held on a full tide in the Taruheru River. Enthusiastic members entered the water at the Roebuck Road bridge and finished at the Waimata junction.

First home was Helen Braybrook who swam steadily to take advantage of her handicap. Here she moves steadily through the sparkling water.

Gina Braybrook was fourth.

Those taking part in the race included Jiii Robinson, Gael Johnstone, Donald Coles, Helen Braybrook, Andrew Winning, Kathy McKeague, Dawn O'Conneii and Christine Page.
