80,000 Cases

With the opening of the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board's Harold Thawley Store at Makaraka, provision has been made for the cool storing of 80,000 cases of apples and pears. Built in time to take this season's crop, the store was officially opened by the Honourable D. J. Carter, M.P., Minister of Agriculture.
