Walter Pearson, 11 Wildish Street, believes in doing his part in working for world peace by writing to world leaders and offering them encouragement in their work for peaceful co-existence in the world. All leaders have sent letters back to Mr Pearson thanking him for his welcome words of hope. Mr Pearson has written to, among the world's many leaders, U Thant, Pope Paul, Harold Wilson, President Nixon, Prince Charles and the Archbishop of Canterbury. The letters in front of Mr Pearson are some of those he has received. Those to the right of the picture are especially treasured as they came from the late Walter Nash.
