The Sky Flyer

Dare-devil stuntman Graham Bolton braved the elements and took a ride into the sky to help raise money for the Community Hall Appeal. He was taken up to the limit in one of Monk Bros. cranes and lowered an inch at a time. Every time somebody donated 20 cents, that is. Well, people were generous enough, for Graham eventually got back on the ground. This promotion by 2ZG raised $120 for the appeal.

The general scene as the descent starts in Peel Street.

Clinging desperately to the bottom of the cage is the stuntman. Can you see him?

Morrin Hardy and Appeal Chairman John Nicholls have a word of encouragement for Graham before he takes off.

Part of the crowd craning (pardon us) their necks at the daring display.
