The biggest load of logs to come out of the Mangatu forest was brought out by M. E. Jukes & Co. The load numbered just under 1400 logs and the two drivers sitting on the deck are Terry Warren and Tony Iremonger.

The biggest ship to enter Gisborne port so far is the Medic. She weighs 11,120 tons and is 537ft. 7in. long: The ship loaded frozen meat and general cargo for England while here.
