A December concert put on by the Rerekohu District High School was packed out. The occasion was also used to make a presentation to Mr Henry Dewes (Centre) in appreciation of his 20 years' service to the school and district as school bus owner and driver,

After teaching on the Coast (Horoera, Waikura and Te Araroa) for the past 25 years, Mrs Josephine Pahura, with her husband and family, are going to live in Gisborne.

School teacher John Hovell, after three years at the Rerekohu High School, has resigned. He will still live in Te Araroa and further his work in painting and art. John painted the backdrop to the picture at the top of the page. (Pics by Captain Medland)
