Swell For Surf Life Saving
Uneven swells giving hard breaking surf produced ideal conditions for the surf life saving competitions in which the visiting Australians (New South Wales Country) took the honours.
Garry Thompson (Waikanae Senior A) leads the march past. This team produced their best to win the Six Man R & R, the main event.
Bill Gordon, the only competitor to finish the course and win the Ski Rescue event. Patient is Api Hinaki.
