Future Stars

More than 900 boys played Saturday morning rugby under the jurisdiction of the Junior Rugby Advisory Board this 1969 season. The season ended with the presentation of trophies to the winners of the various grades on August 16. Rugby personalities did the honours at each ground where games were played.

Thirteenth grade A section winner was Edmund Campion Gold team shown here with Sonny Rutene. At right is Mr Arthur Toye founder of the Junior Board 20 years ago. At Barry Park Johnny Collins presented the cups to the 11th and 12th grade teams. Kaiti and Cobham were co-winners in the 11th.
