Speakers of Note

Three speakers of note addressed those attending the combined Plunket Societies' cocktail hour and dinner held at Low's recently. They were Dr Margaret Liley, obstetrician and gyneocologist at the National Women's Hospital, Auckland, Mrs Susan Graham, authoress and world travel conductor, and Miss Pare Hopa, the first Maori woman graduate of Oxford. Miss Hopa leaves shortly to take up a lectureship in anthropology at the California State College in Los Angeles. They are pictured in the order named at left.

A large crowd attended the function, some of which is shown on these pages.
