At Brisbane Airport recently Mrs Joan McBurnie (formerly Tamatea of Gisborne) led the Maori welcome to the visiting New Zealand Maori Theatre Trust concert group. On their tour of Australia the group was led by Peter Keiha (also formerly of Gisborne). He is a cousin of Mrs McBurnie but they hadn't seen each other for five years.

Peter Guild graduated L.L.B (hons) from the University of Christchurch. He is the son of Alex and Carmen Guild, now of Christchurch, and the grandson of Mr and Mrs W. B. Edwards, 392 Palmerston Road.

Evelyn Maurirere celebrated her 21st birthday in Christchurch recently. Evelyn, who is the daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Maurirere, 18 Birrell Street, is an instructor at the R.N.Z.A.F, base at Wigram.

From John and Sue Annabell, who were married in Gisborne 15 months ago, comes this pic taken in Australia where they are on a working holiday. They have been in Darwin where John was a salesman for Theiss Ltd., and Sue with the A.N.Z. Bank. They are now down at Cinchilla on the Darling Downs. Also in the picture are Owen Martin of Gisborne who has been crop-dusting in the Northern Territory and Sheila Hogue an air hostess from San Francisco. From left: Owen, Sheila, Sue and John.
