Waihirere Welcomes

Two welcomes were extended by the Waihirere Maori Club at Poho-o-Rawiri recently. They were to the Consul-General for South Africa, Mr P. H. Philip, and to the American Ambassador, Mr J. Henning. Both men were in Gisborne to see rugby, Mr Philip for the Prince of Wales Cup and Mr Henning for the New Zealand Maoris v Poverty Bay game.
