Master Model Makers

There are some very adept boys and girls in Gisborne as was proven by the recent model making contest run by the Variety Bookshop. A lot of care and attention to detail went in to the models and made picking the winners a hard task. The winners received Classic model kitsets as prizes.

This Yamato battleship won first prize for Mark Harris, Waerenga-o-kuri, in the 12 to 16 years' section.

Neville West, 28 Ferguson Drive, 1, Stuart Livingston, 356 Clifford Street, 2, and Chris Grimson, 158A Stout Street. 3, in the under 11 section.

Leslie preece, 2, and Judith Livingston, 3, in the 12 to 16 section.

Special prizes went to Wayne Stevens, 167 Stout Street, and Tony Dooling, 16 Atkinson Street.

Special prizes also went to Kenneth McRae, 388 Aberdeen Road, and Vaughan Goodall, 167 Stanley Road.
