Abiding Faith

More than 600 people formed the congregation at the half-yearly circuit assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses held in Gisborne at the Boys' High Assembly Hall on June 7. In the afternoon after the delivery of a special address by the district supervisor, Howard Benesch, twenty-two candidates were baptised by total immersion by the presiding minister, Mr Phil Le Roy, of Taupo and his assistant, Mr Les Marriner, of Mangakino.
