Occidentals Orientate

The bonsai method of growing trees and shrubs is becoming increasingly popular and this Japanese way of nurturing plants is a fascinating way of growing things. Essentially it is growing plants in small containers, feeding them only to keep them alive, trimming them to shape, and thereby ending up with virtually a miniature dwarf. The method of this cultivation was demonstrated at the Garden Centre recently, where Mrs Gladys Dodge imparted valuable knowledge in the art of bonsai cultivation.
