Large Attendance at Dominion Conference

The 16th biennial conference of Business and Professional Women took place in Gisborne over Queen's Birthday weekend and was a resounding success. More than 250 delegates and observers attended the conference, the venue for which was the Girls' High School.

Miss Dorothy Ritchie, of Gisborne, was elected the new national president at the meeting. She is seen here receiving the insignia of office from the immediate past president, Mrs Lorraine Harrison-Lee. At right is Miss Greita Clifford-Jones, also of Gisborne, who was elected honorary secretary for the national federation.
