A few weeks ago. the Matawhero Hotel, which is reputed to have a ghost, was purchased for removal by Messrs J.T. and D. T. Gooch of Gisborne. Both are prominent members of the Hill Billy Band, and before work was started on the building, they put on a show there to dispose of any spirits which might be lingering on the premises. Here Frank Crosby lays the ghost (Jack Gooch) by means of a determined bash with his guitar.
