Hall Bros Garage changed hands recently and is now known as Endeavour Motors. To publicise the deal the new owners conducted a competition, the winner of which was Bob Lloyd. His prize was two retreads. From left; Laurie Gooch, Bob Lloyd, and Laurie's partners, Graham Gooch and Ian Hurne.

Off to Hamilton to live is St. Clair Christie and his family. They are his wife, Grace, daughter Jane, and sons Peter (left) and Maurice. Mr Christie, who was a well-known photographer here, has taken a position with the Hamilton Gas Company.

A great effort on the part of the children of the Wainui school resulted in the grand total of $29.52 being raised for the Save the Children fund. A shop day was held to get the money and here are Debra Doolan (left) and Glenda Currie giving the proceeds to Mrs Helen Mackie, president of the Gisborne branch of the society.

Graeme Clarke, son of Mr and Mrs R. A. Clarke, 17 Asquith Street, who has been on a working holiday in Australia, plans to leave Darwin in May. He will fly to Portuguese Timor and from there intends travelling through Indonesia to Bali, Djakarta, Singapore, Malaya and Thailand. From Bangkok he intends to go on to India, then through the Middle East to Europe and England.

Aircraft woman Lyn Read is now stationed at Wigram air base, Christchurch. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs C. W. Read, 40 Centennial Crescent.
