Diamond Jubilee

Members of the Gisborne Central Baptist branch of the N.Z. Baptist Women's Mission Union celebrated the branch's 60th year of existence on May 7.

Members who have been in the branch for more than thirty years are, from left, Mesdames A. Thomson, A. G. Beets, M. Carroll, R. Smellie, M. J. Kearney, H. K. Bergersen, L. Makie, D. F. Hair, and Edwards.

Three members who re-enacted the first B.W.M.U. meeting which was held in Dunedin in 1903 are Mesdames Jean Lees, Grace Morris, and Ruth Sinton.
