At the last Jaycee tea-meeting on May 6 the guest speaker for the evening was Miss Gaye McFetridge, Health Education Officer with the Health Department. She is pictured with the chairman for the evening, Seton Clare.

A sight not often seen these days is long woollen underpants. However these hand-knitted underpants were on display at one of the stalls at the recent Wool Week promotion. They must have taken hours of time and patience to produce by the knitter. They are held by Mrs F. J. Hull of Hastings.

Would you believe this Potato Moose found its way into our office recently. It was on its way north, or south, - or east, - - or west, - - - or somewhere!

A very successful auction to raise funds for the Wainui School was held recently at the school. Approximately $250 was made on the day's effort.
