I.H.C. News

The Intellectually Handicapped Children Society has received three donations recently. That the plight of the intellectually handicapped is thought about by others is heartwarming indeed.

After the recent Anzac Day parade the men of A Company gathered at the Army Hall and made a presentation of a clock for use in the new I.H.C. Hostel. Mr Norm Davies (centre) accepts the clock on behalf of the society.

On behalf of the Townswomen's Evening Guild Mrs Margaret Woolliams, president of the guild, presents a cheque for $120 to Mr Davies for the society. The money will be used towards furnishings for the new hostel.

Raised by the Inter-secondary High schools' social committee, from dances and social activities, a cheque for $35 was given to the society. Representatives Patrick Cowan and Maria Henderson give the cheque to Mrs Nora Steed, president of the I.H.C.
