Expert Tuition

A week-long riding school was held at the showgrounds recently to give instruction to experienced riders in the district. In charge of the tuition was Karl Jurenak from Australia. He was the instructor who trained the Australian team which won a gold medal for the three day equestrian event at the Rome Olympics.

Attending the school also were Lynne Bruce (on Monetary), Sonny Bruce (on Atlas), and Raewyn Cooper (on Beaumaster). Monetary and Beaumaster were good racehorses before taking up the show ring, while Atlas needs no introduction locally.
