Successful Gala

The Waikirikiri School held another very successful fund-raising gala on March 15. There were plenty of stalls with lots of goodies and bargains to tempt the palate and the pocket. Highlight of the day was the marching display given by teams from the Gisborne Marching Association.

A mini Queen carnival was held at the gala and this was won by the Gold Princess, Vanessa Rare. The four contesting princesses were, from left, Mihi Stevens (blue), Fay Tuari (green), Vanessa Rare and Sally Engert (red).

Mrs S. Gilbert had a busy time on the sweet stall. The sum raised at the gala was approximately $560.
