35 Years' Service Honoured

After giving 35 years' service to the Gisborne Civic band, Mr Bill Cooper was presented with a long-service certificate at a band evening recently. A 25 year service medal and 10 year bar were also presented to Mr Cooper by Mayor Harry Barker who is patron of the Civic Band.

Prior to the presentation parents were entertained by junior band members. Band representatives competing at the New Zealand championships at Rotorua completed the evening's programme.
