The motor sailer vessel, the Rongomau, was a recent visitor to Gisborne. Under the guidance of its skipper and owner, Mr H. I. Dimock, the craft carried a television crew which is making a film on Cook's voyage around New Zealand. The crew took shots of Young Nick's Head, Tolaga Bay and Anaura Bay.

The crew of the fishing vessel Kaiti took on quite a different chore recently when they had the job of mending the boat's purse-seine net. The net, part of which is spread out over the wharf, is 2,000 feet long and 200 feet deep.

A change of ownership has occurred in the midway shopping centre. Grundy's Fabrics has been taken over by Andy Pritchard and Eric Ninness of the Singer Sewing Machine Co., next door.
