Family Gathering

Recent visitors to Gisborne from England were Colin Lowndes and his wife and daughter. Born and bred in Gisborne and now partner in the famous Lowndes industrial insurance company with headquarters in London, Mr Lowndes held a dinner party at the Gisborne Hotel where many relations gathered to greet them and each other.

Among those who spent an enjoyable evening were Murray and Mrs Upton, Jim and Carol McAneney, Graeme and Dianne Robinson, and Colin and Mrs Lowndes.

All the girls together are Pat Edwards, Joan Nicholson, Betty Wildish, Betty Warren and June Sharp.

Frank Wise, Harry Findlay, Colin Lowndes and Mrs M. Robinson get together.

Cousins Frank Wildish, Mabel Martin, Colin Lowndes, Emily Knox and Moss Wildish together with Mrs Lowndes.

All the Ledgers were present and with Colin Lowndes in the centre they are, from left, Graham, Vendela, Emily, Desley, Shirley, Noel and Max.
