Records Smashed

Many records were broken at the Childers Road Reserve on January 4. This was only fitting as the scene was the Cook Bicentenary Games. Star attraction of the day was the new New Zealand record set by Darryl Gilliland of Hawkes Bay in the senior men's hammer throw. This now stands at 185' 5".
