The Wild Wild East

All the characters and trappings of the wild wild west hit Gisborne town when the Lions Club held a most successful western style market day to raise funds for Young Nick's children's playground.

Significantly the children of the city entered into the spirit of the occasion--especially the grand parade in costume through the main thoroughfare of the capital of the East Coast. Who said East couldn't meet West - or is it vice-versa?

It was a great day for the Lions Club as the market stalls themselves raised a gross of about $2,000.
