Guides and Brownies

A highlight to the Waipu and P. B. division of the Girl Guides Association annual meeting was the presentation of awards.

Mangapapa And Tui Pack Brownies. Merry laughter and ghostly wails echoed from the Guide and Scout Hall in Bryce Street when the two packs celebrated Hallowe'en.

National awards were made to the following three: Mrs Jean Adams who received the Medal of Merit for exceptionally good service to the Guide movement, Mrs Joyce Moles, the Oak Leaf award for very meritorious service and Mrs Jean Green who also received the Oak Leaf award. The Camper cup for the Guide leader who has the most successful camps went to Susan Jolly.
