1000 Yards

That was the amount of road metal brought to Gisborne by the barge Pohonui for the Ministry of Works recently. Shipped from Auckland, the metal was towed down by the tug Mohala. Front end loaders were used to feed the conveyor, and the trucks took the metal to the M.O.W. yards at Matawhero.
