John and Heather O'Sullivan, Hamilton, are off to England for two years. John will be doing two years' study on behalf of the New Zealand Electricity Department. His first year will be spent at the Imperial College, London, undergoing studies on nuclear power. His final year will be with the Atomic Energy Authority. John and Heather were married recently. Heather is the daughter of Mrs H. McLeod, 34 Anzac Street, and the late Mr A. R. McLeod.

An end-of-season function was held for boys playing rugby under the Junior Rugby Advisory Board recently. Cups were presented to the captains of the winning teams for the year by Mr Jesse Baddeley, chairman of the P. B. R. U. Mr Baddeley, Ken Jones (Manutuke, 8th grade), Peter Snowden (Edmund Campion. 10th grade), Gordon Sutton (Kaiti, llth grade), and Harold Jones (Edmund Campion, 12th grade).

Peter Teutenberg (Edmund Campion, 13th grade B), Tony Gregory (Elgin, Efficiency Cup), Steven Jones (Manutuke 13th grade A), and Mr Bob Browne, (chairman of the Junior Advisory Board).

Winner of the recent Midway Progressive Association's window spotting competition was Diane Ross of 235 Stanley Road. Diane won a voucher which was worth $50 in goods from shops in Midway.

Hallenstein Bros, held a cake weight-guessing competition recently and the winner was Alan Morris, youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. D. Morris, Waihora Road, Te Karaka. The cake was given to the Heni Materoa Children's Home, and Alan won $15 worth of goods from Hallensteins.
