Youngsters on the run

Out along the road, up over the hill, through the paddock trail and back along the road to the school. That was the type of course charged over with enthusiasm by pupils of the Ilminster School for their annual steeplechase recently.

Coming home for a convincing win is Erwin Babbington who took the senior title. Below his picture are Sidney Tautau (left) who was second, and Phillip Kanuta who was third.

An easy winner of the junior title was Kevin Robinson.

Hugh Simpson ran on ahead of Barry Hyland to take second place in the junior event.
