Contest Finals

The final contest for Classic Models was held during July. The contest, which has been run over a period of months by the Variety Bookshop, had many fine models entered in it.

Bobbie Louie with the two models which gave him top award in the under 12 age group and $13 in prizes.

Second placegetter in the under 12 age group was Vaughan Goodall

Brian Allan took third place in the same section

Top award for the best modeller went to Howard Armstrong. His two models won five awards plus prizes valued at over $16. He won special prizes for the Best Modeller, the Best Modern Fighter Bomber, and the Best World War 11 Bomber.

Kevin Russell, with three models entered, won over $10 in prizes in the 12 to 16 years' section of the contest.

Barry Newport was second in the 12 to 15 years section.

George Louie was third in the same section.
