Licensed Victuallers Tournament
The local licensed victuallers' tournament was played in showery weather at the P.B. golf course on August 15. Forty-four members and friends of the licensed trade took part.
Frank Martin (ex Royal Hotel) about to putt. Jack Faras (Jolly Stockman Hotel) looked quite a professional. Colin Vette (Ormond Hotel) couldn't hit the ball more than a few yards at a time. Trevor Crosby (Kaiteritahi Hotel) follows the flight of his ball.
Brothers competing in the tournament were Ernie Smith (Ruatoria Hotel) and Bert Smith of Tolaga Bay.
