Four generations were present recently at the christening of young Vanessa Ashwell. From left, at back: Mr and Mrs H. J. Matson, 33 Heads Road, Wanganui, and Mrs H. Recent celebrants of their 25th wedding anniversary were Eric (Rusty) and Noeline Baty, 238 Lytton Road. At a surprise party for them they are pictured with their two bridesmaids, now Mesdames Eva Sargent (left) and Constance Davies, Rotorua (right).

Winners of the competition conducted in Invercargill by N.A.C. , and the N.Z. Travel and Holiday Association were Alan and Joan Vaughan. Mrs Vaughan submitted the best recipe for a fish dish and earned a week's holiday around the East Coast. With their daughter Janet they are pictured with Neil Summersby of the Orange Grove Motels where they stayed in Gisborne.
