Around the Schools

Also from Riverdale came some of the top teams to compete in the recent inter-school gymnastic festival

Second in boys' contributing A grade were Karl Jacobs, John Fleming, Ross Murphy and William Kingi (absent).

First in contributing girls' B grade were Heather Dewstow, Wendy Stokes, Rangi Allen, Patricia Williams.

Winner of the Korimako trophy in the Maori Oratory contest for High School pupils was Mary White (left) of the Girls' High School. She goes forward to the finals to be held in Wellington this month. The other two speakers were Ronald Marsden (Boys' High), and Jo-Karol Pere (Lytton High).
