Record Crowds At Poverty Bay Jubilee Show

Favoured With viceregal patronage, the 75th Jubilee Show of the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association, held on Friday and Saturday of last week, was a brilliant success in every way.

The weather, which had caused some misgivings on the first day, provided a touch of summer on the second, and the showgrounds, thronged with record crowds, presented a gay & colourful spectacle.

The standard of jumping exhibited, and the wealth of entries in all classes indicated the increased interest which has been taken of recent years in the horse. Especially so was this in the pony classes, where the interest of young folks has been fostered by the formation of pony clubs in the district.
