The Graham Bell Combo turns on a swinging sound at the Jolly Stockman Hotel on Wednesday nights for a limited season and a good time is had by all. Adding to the festive air of the dance floor and bar is local vocalist Dennis Orchison who is pictured with Graham Bell, his brother Noel and Malvyn Walsh. A feature of the hotel lounge is a series of copies of original Indian paintings which decorate the walls, some of which are seen in the picture at left.

A short visit to the Penthouse by the "Human Instinct", a dynamic band which has not long come back from overseas, took place recently. Patrons crowded the lounge where they saw and heard in action, from left, Frank Hay, Maurice Green and Billy Tikahiki.
