Hard of Hearing League

Misfortune plagued the monthly social afternoon as almost all entertainment was cancelled.

An interesting visitor to the League was Mrs I. Neill (second from right), originally from Dundee, but now living in Gisborne. Welcoming her are Mrs W. G. Bird (tutor for the League), Mrs H. Bryson and Mrs T. McLatchie (a foundation member).

Also taken in Sydney, in the heart of King's Flamin' Cross, is this picture of the sidewalk cafe at the Village Centre--a good place for coffee, and the wrought iron tables and chairs afford a pleasant oasis from which to watch the passing parade. Maybe some enterprising person in Gisborne could follow the same idea. A place like this would certainly be an attraction, particularly in the summer.
