New School Opened

The new school in Kaiti was officially opened on Saturday, April 27, by the chairman of the Hawkes Bay Education Board, Mr L. R. Lewis.

The school is called Wairikiriki, which, freely translated, means spring of life, youth and health. This is fitting as the school is near the site of a spring of that name.

The official party was greeted with the traditional challenge and haka.
