Superb Sewing

The annual make and model contest held at Adairs and sponsored by Simplicity Patterns attracted a large crowd for the final parade and announcement of the winner.

From a Simplicity pattern the entrants made and modelled their own garments and the winner of the Gisborne section of the contest was Mrs Patricia Seymour of Whangara. She won a record player and goes forward to the national finals to be held in Auckland.
