A sad occasion for the Kelvin Scout group at their last annual general meeting was the retirement of Mr Douglas Rutherford, Doug has given 16 years of service to the group--one year on the committee, 14 years as secretary and the final year as chairman, Colin Twyman (group Scout leader) is pictured presenting the group's gift to Mr Rutherford.

Three of the five Scouts from the Gisborne district who went to the Australian Jamboree put on an evening recently to tell the public of their experiences. Pictured with souvenirs are Graham Stichbury, Basil Mann and Graeme King (Scout leader).

Pam Wilson receives her Wood Beads from the Gisborne District Commissioner, Mr J. Stevens. The beads are awarded after six months' training in practical and theory work. Pam is now a fully trained Cub leader.
