At the Penthouse recently one of New Zealand's top groups, namely the Gremlins, played for three nights to packed houses. An indication of the group's rating is the fact that they have made the finals in the last two contests for the Golden Disc Award. The boys, Cess (bass), Ben (organ), Roger (drums), Darren (lead) and Glyn (rhythm), are now cutting a new disc which will be released shortly.

New arrangements at the Gisborne Hotel make for mixed drinking in the public bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Dressed to kill and out for kicks was a certain "Mrs Thompson" who took the honour of being the first "lady" to enter the bar. On hand to welcome the guest were licensee Frank O'Halloran and manager Charles Lloyd (below left), while (below right) these gprgeoua gams gave guzzlers the gargles.
