Rifle Championships

The Gisborne Rifle Club conducted the East Coast championships at the Sponge Bay range on Sunday, March 16, where nearly 60 entrants gave the club its most successful meeting for the past 15 years. Three top flight shooters who gave added interest to the events were Dave Caughley, Masterton, Morrie Gordon, Okawa, and local member Frank Jeune, who have all won Queen's medals.
