Rugby School

Under the tuition of leading Wellington rugby coach Phil Freeman, and All Black Nev MacEwan a three section rugby school was held at Rugby Park on Saturday, March 16.

A talk on the necessity of physical fitness by Mr Freeman opened the morning session and this was followed by field theory by Nev MacEwan. The class then moved outdoors for practical instruction on the field where exercises and ball handling were featured. The afternoon programme followed the same pattern and in the evening a film session was followed by a panel discussion. The most successful school was attended by about 250 over the three sessions.
