Then and Now

The corner of Peel Street, circa 1920 (above), with the sedate horse and trap crossing over Gladstone Road, shows a marked change from that seen in today's picture (below) with its sealed roads, modern transport forms and other conveniences.

Today's traffic has problems finding parking space at peak periods, a phenomena which would never have been thought of, judging by the top picture.
