Realistic Exercise

The St. John Ambulance Brigade conducted a full scale emergency exercise recently to give all members experience under practical conditions. "Patients" were established in a railcar where conditions and access, made as awkward as possible, were simulated to give actual disaster circumstances. A base clearing station was established at the St. John rooms after members participating in the exercise had been informed of the disaster as they would be if it had actually happened.
