Introducing

....Christine Davis is a candid and multiphoto printer at Mayfair Studios. Educated at Iona College, she comes from Motu and boards in town at 27 Muir Street. She is a member of the Gisborne Red Cross Council, and enjoys spending her leisure hours water skiing and horse back riding on her parents' farm.

....Beau Tamatea, Karl Andrews, Ray Kavanagh, and Wally Crombie are workers employed on the building of the new Waimata Bridge. Beau is married, has one child, lives at 25 Harris Street, and follows boxing and wrestling. Karl, Ray, and Wally are all single and live at 12 Anzac Street. Karl, a carpenter, enjoys fishing, boxing, and hunting. Ray is from North Auckland, is also a carpenter and follows rugby and plays darts. Wally hails from Taranaki, is the winch driver on the job, and is a keen flyer with the Aero Club. He also plays darts.

....Hink and Fay Healey run their dry cleaning business on the corner of Gladstone Road and Carmarvon Street. They have two children and live in Island Road. Hink is a former motor cycle racer (he was placed second to world champ Rod Coleman at Ohakea in 1956), and gliding enthusiast. He enjoys fishing, both trout and ocean, boating, and playing his piano accordion. Fay's hobbies include gardening and camping and trout fishing with the family at Lake Waikaremoana.

....Linda McWhirter and Heather Harris are checkout operators at Openshaw's Supermarket. They are both married and each have a young child. Linda lives at 147 Harris Street, and enjoys knitting, following tennis, and pop music. Heather's interests are floral art, sewing her own clothes, and knitting. She lives at 6 Wellington Street.
